Our organization is set up much like a government with elements of a military chain of command mixed with traditional motorcycle protocol and culture. We conduct ourselves as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
We have bylaws that hold us to a professional standard. We democratically vote in leaders who help maintain accountability. We pay dues and taxes. We donate any financial gain and excess time back to the community.
"In general, we strive to conduct ourselves in a responsible manner to keep the family's good name.
Whether we are wearing patches or not, we believe that common courtesy and respect for all people will always leave a good impression of us as individuals, the Fortune Family and bikers in general."
- Vegas, on conduct in the MC
The Fortune Family MC was originally the Brothers of Fortune Riding Club. The RC was founded by 8 friends who believed in creating an organization for like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts who support 2nd amendment rights. We are patriotic citizens who love our country, freedoms and liberty. While it is not a membership requirement, most of us are either Active Duty military personnel or Veterans.
As such, we do not tolerate illegal activity within our membership and seek to repair common misconceptions about stereotypical motorcycle-related organizations through neutrality and public service.
We evolved into the Fortune Family Motorcycle Club and do not claim any territory. Our club type is commonly referred to as an 'establishment', or a 'mom and pop' club.
